At Chicken & Blues, we believe in giving back to the community that has supported us from day one. That’s why we’re excited to announce that our Charity of the Year for 2025 is Diverse Abilities, an incredible Dorset-based charity dedicated to supporting children and adults with physical and learning disabilities.

Through our Neighbourhood Fund, we’re committed to making a meaningful impact, raising awareness, and supporting Diverse Abilities with fundraising initiatives, team involvement, and raising awareness of the great work they do.

Who Are Diverse Abilities?

Founded over 70 years ago, Diverse Abilities is Dorset’s disability charity, providing lifelong support to individuals and families facing the challenges of living with disabilities. Their work includes:

✅ Children’s Team: Providing essential respite care, education, and activity days for children with disabilities.

✅ Adults’ Support Services: Helping individuals live independently with care, guidance, and social opportunities.

✅ Advice Helpline: Offering advice, advocacy, and financial guidance for families navigating disability services.

From overnight respite care and specialist schooling to advocacy and day-to-day support, Diverse Abilities is changing lives every day—and we’re honoured to stand alongside them in 2025.

What This Means for C&B & the Neighbourhood Fund

The C&B Neighbourhood Fund was created to give back to the communities we serve. Over the years, we’ve donated meals, hosted fundraising events, and partnered with local organisations to support meaningful causes.

As our Charity of the Year, Diverse Abilities will be at the heart of our community efforts in 2025. This means:

🔥 Fundraising events at Chicken & Blues locations across Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole.

🍗 Special menu items, where a portion of sales will be donated to Diverse Abilities.

🎉 Exclusive promotions & giveaways to raise awareness and drive donations.

💙 Staff volunteering & engagement, getting hands-on in supporting the charity’s incredible work.
