Chicken & Blues’ Community Fund has committed to supporting the Poole Swimming Club Covid Appeal, aiming to raise enough money to help the club get through 2021 and beyond.

Poole Swimming Club looks to celebrate its 90th year of service to local swimming next year, but is facing a crisis owed to national restrictions, and in particular, the second lockdown.

The club trains swimmers of all ages, starting from 6 years old. Many go on to begin competitive swimming, and importantly, make new lifelong friends.

Members of the club have achieved regional, national, and international honours – representing Poole in the best possible way – with a team of dedicated coaches and volunteers making it all happen behind the scenes.

Sport England have generously agreed to pledge match-funding of £3,000 if the club can successfully raise 25% of their £7,500 goal. It’s within reach!

C&B is proud to support this very worthy community cause.

Joshua Simons, C&B: ‘We fully support Poole Swimming Club’s fight for survival during this incredibly tough time for community sport. Bringing people of all ages together to keep fit, stay competitive, and make friends is something that resonates with us at C&B. PSC are already doing a brilliant job, and we intend to help them reach their goal with a donation, as well as a number of rewards vouchers for those that support the crowd funding campaign. We wish Naomi and everyone at Poole Swimming Club the best as they navigate the next 6-12 months’.

Barry Alldrick, PLC Head Coach: A huge thank you to Chicken and Blues for supporting our Crowdfunder Poole Swimming Club Covid Appeal. We are so grateful for the help to get our swimmers back in the water and ready to race again. At PSC we love refuelling with Chicken & Blues takeout and can’t wait for you to reopen fully after lockdown 2.0!”

How to donate: You can donate to Poole Swimming Club’s fundraiser for as little as £5 by visiting the Crowdfunder page from Sunday 15th November HERE
