We’re delighted to announce Lilliput Girls Under-10s — the Tsunamis — as the winners of our £1,000 grassroots sponsorship competition.

Throughout the summer, we invited local junior sports teams to enter for the chance to receive £1,000 towards their new season. The response was incredible, with more than 350 teams entering from across the region.

After plenty of consideration from our Community Team, the Lilliput Tsunamis were selected as our winners.

The £1,000 sponsorship will help towards the team’s new kits, training wear and other essentials needed to give the girls the best possible start to their season — including their brand-new Chicken & Blues-sponsored shirts and training tops.

Celebrating at C&B

On Tuesday 8th September, the full team and their coaches joined us at Chicken & Blues for a celebratory get-together and a little Mama’s Home Cookin’.

C&B Co-Founder Joshua Simons met the players and coaches to present their £1,000 cheque and see the girls reveal their new Chicken & Blues kits for the first time.

Joshua said:

“Supporting local sport and active lifestyles is something we really want to get behind at Chicken & Blues. Being part of our local community has always mattered to us, and initiatives like this give us another opportunity to support the people and teams within it.

“We launched the competition this summer, during World Cup, to give a local team the chance to win £1,000 towards their new season, and we’re delighted that the Lilliput Tsunamis are our winners.

“It was great to meet the girls and their coaches at C&B, and we wish the whole team a successful season ahead.”
